5 Sexy Sink Mixers That Won't Break The Bank

The kitchen sink is the centre of activity in the kitchen, it’s where we fill our cups and kettles, wash our food, hands, dirty dishes and where we strain our pasta.

I always look for a functional and attractive sink mixer.

One that will compliment my kitchen but at the same time a mixer that’ll be able to fill my large pot with water, without struggling to get it under there and back out again.

I also want a sink mixer with the spout reaching well into the sink, and not one that just reaches over the edge of your sink and splashes the hell out of me when I turn on the water .

Another thing; check the height of your sink mixer, ensuring it’s not going to hit into your window sill or an above counter.

Keeping these things into consideration, means you’ll pick the right sink mixer which will compliment your kitchen or laundry.

There are plenty of sink mixers out there, which can cost a serious bundle of cash.

For many renovations, set budgets won’t allow such a huge splurge or we simply can’t justify the spend.

The sink mixers I love, come under $300 and are for a low to mid-range renovation.

I’ve only included 5 variations, but there are many more mixers to choose from.

I’ve also included one sink mixer (see below) which I have in my kitchen right now and it only cost me $159.

1. Dorf Obsidian Sink Mixer $260

Available at Bunnings www.bunnings.com.au

A big fan of anything in matt black, this sink mixer would look fantastic with most kitchens if you want to add some cool vibes and sexiness. The shape and lines could work in most spaces.

For a kitchen that may have some black finishes or accents this sink mixer will add a contemporary touch, the height of the spout will ensure you're filling up your pots with ease and again it’s a sleek sink mixer for the kitchen or the laundry.

2. IKEA Bosjon Sink mixer $199

Available at Ikea https://www.ikea.com/au

I love this sink mixer as it’s a very stylish and modern design and can look great in your kitchen, especially if you want an edgy industrial or modern look.

3. Caroma Twin Sink Mixer - White $159 (comes in Black also)

Available at Bunnings www.bunnings.com.au

I have this sink mixer in my current kitchen. I love the matt white finish and the swivel spout and it sits tall on my sink so it makes it super easy to fill any large pots or bottles.

This sink mixer makes for a luxe statement. It provides a contemporary finish with my white stone bench top and white cabinets.

4. Minow Gooseneck Sink Mixer $112

Available at Bathware Direct https://www.bathwaredirect.com.au

Chrome Silver finished tapware goes well with pretty much any type of style kitchen or laundry. This sink mixer has a more modern edge to it with those sharper and squarer lines and would make a sure statement in any kitchen.

5. Mondella Matte Black & Rose Gold Signature Vege Spray Sink Mixer $189

Available at Bunnings www.bunnings.com.au

Not just a practical sink mixer with the veggie spray option, but also a stand out piece in matt black and a rose gold trim, it’s sure to work in a kitchen with some black accents. This sink mixer will introduce the industrial commercial kitchen look with a more stylish edge.

I’m a huge fan of matt black, I may have mentioned a number of times….but it’s true.

Remember to check the warranty conditions before purchasing and I recommend always getting a plumber to install your sink mixer.

Please let me know if you find any more stand out sink mixers for more budget conscious renovations or if you have any feedback.
